A Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is conducted as part of a commercial real estate transaction to determine if the property has been subject to recognized environmental conditions such as hazardous materials spills or petroleum products. In response to an ESA request, Tri-County will search our records of historic solid waste disposal sites, Onsite Wastewater Treatment Systems, clandestine methamphetamine labs, and complaints regarding possible hazardous materials spills or hazardous waste releases.
To request an Environmental Site Assessment, contact your local Tri-County Environmental Health Office. Requests must be made in writing via on-line, email, fax, or regular mail. Upon receiving an ESA request, Tri-County's target turn round time is one week.
A fee of $60 per hour, one hour minimum, will be charged for each ESA property address request. The fee must be paid before we will release the report to the requestor. An invoice will be provided and payment can be made by cash, check or credit card.
