Breastfeeding Resources for Health Care Providers

Tri-County Health Department recognizes the important role that health care providers play in a woman's decision to breastfeed and her breastfeeding success. This page contains a variety of resources identified by health care providers through a needs assessment survey that can be used to educate both staff and patients about breastfeeding. In 2014, the survey results have been presented in poster sessions at the National WIC Association's Nutrition Education and Breastfeeding Conference, the Colorado Public Health Association's Public Health in the Rockies Conference and the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment's State WIC Meeting.
