The WIC Community Gardens provide fresh produce and physical activity opportunities to families that participate in the WIC Program. There are three locations in the Tri-County Health Department area:

WIC clients and community members can participate in garden activities by working in the garden and assisting with planting, weeding, watering, and harvesting. Students and community members can volunteer time in the gardens assisting garden coordinators with planting day, nutrition education/demonstrations, weighing produce, assisting WIC participants with harvesting fresh produce, and garden outreach. Volunteer for the Community Gardens by filling out the Nutrition Division Volunteer Application/Acknowledgement, Release, and Informed Consent.
