We encourage people to view the PDF of the report online to minimize the environmental impact. In addition, our annual report was printed on recycled paper and is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council.
Across the globe, Forest Stewardship Council certification is the industry's highest social and environmental standard.

FSC-Certified paper and lumber products come from sustainably harvested forests, and certified companies contribute to conservation, responsible management practices and community-level benefits for people and animals living in and near the forests.

Annual Reports:
Our annual reports each have a theme that relates to public health. From our new 60th anniversary edition to "Public Health Heroes and Villains," a decade worth of annual reports are available at the left.

Social Marketing:
Unlike commercial marketing, where the aim is primarily increased sales or brand recognition, social marketers have goals that are more difficult: using science-based strategies to promote long-term behavior change in target populations.

We create health education materials that are shared with other agencies nationwide including the "
Fight the Bite" West Nile virus campaign, the "Chicken About Bird Flu?" avian influenza website and the "Give Your Child a Shot at Success" children's immunization campaign.

We also partner with other organizations to promote local and national public health initiatives, including three PBS series "Rx for Survival," "Take One Step" and "Unnatural Causes" the 9Health Fair, Race for the Cure and the Body Worlds and Benjamin Franklin museum exhibitions.

Award-Winning Health Campaigns:
Our annual report, “An Ounce of Prevention... What Is It Really Worth?” received the first-place “Gold Leaf Award” from the Colorado Healthcare Communicators Association; our "Fight the Bite" West Nile virus campaign won the Model Practices Award (their highest honor) from The National Association of County and City Health Officials, and is currently used across the country; and our "Chicken About Bird Flu?" and "Fight the Bite" campaigns and "Public Health Heroes" annual report each won the bronze award from the National Public Health Information Coalition.
