National Preparedness Month

#PrepYourHealth for National Preparedness Month by looking at what you have in your car, home, and work office to be prepared for disasters or emergencies. This year’s theme is “A Lasting Legacy” and highlights how preparing for disaster is to protect everyone you love.

Know how the pandemic has affected emergency preparedness and response and update your kit with supplies and resources to keep yourself and others healthy and safe:

  • Take action. Collect emergency supplies and create “go kits.”
  • Have a supply of personal needs. Include disinfectant wipes, soap, hand sanitizer, and several clean masks/face coverings.
  • Plan ahead. Pay attention to local guidance for evacuations and shelters.
  • Create community. Find ways to support your neighbors while taking steps to protect yourself and others in your home and community.

Use the resources on our National Preparedness Month page that our emergency preparedness and response experts selected to #PrepYourHealth for any emergency or disaster.
